摘要 PURPOSE: A robot cleaner and a control method thereof are provided to implement cleaning for each room based on a map composed using room and obstacle information. CONSTITUTION: A robot cleaner comprises a room sensing part(110) which detects rooms in a cleaning area and outputs room information. The room sensing part comprises a sill detection sensor which senses the sill of a room, an obstacle detection unit(120) which detects an obstacle within the cleaning area and outputs obstacle information, and a control unit(200) which composes a cleaning map based on the room and obstacle information and implements cleaning for each room based on the cleaning map.
