摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module having a structure that can easily suppress the transmission of stray light to a light receiving element side, even if the stray light has a large angle of incidence. SOLUTION: The optical module 1 is equipped with: an optical waveguide substrate 61 in which an optical waveguide 62 is formed in a clad; and an optical filter 2 which is installed in the terminating end or the middle of the optical waveguide 62, wherein a high refractive index material 5 having a higher refractive index than the clad of the optical waveguide substrate 61 is disposed on the light incident side of the optical filter 2, thereby solving the problem of the stray light transmission. This high refractive index material 5 may be formed on the light incident surface of the optical filter 2 or on the surface oppositely facing the optical filter 2 in the optical waveguide substrate 61.
