<p>The method involves providing two seeker systems (28, 32) positioned at a distance from one another, where the seeker systems are data-networked, passive target tracking systems for a guided missile (26). A target i.e. artillery rocket, is identified and measured with the seeker systems, and the target is autonomously tracked, and one missile is aligned with the target. Measurement data determined by the seeker systems is combined, and a position of the target relative to one of the two seeker systems is determined from the measurement data. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for determining a location of a flying target.</p> |
