<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an authentication method and an authentication program that simplify an operation for authentication. <P>SOLUTION: An MFP comprises a process execution part 19 capable of communicating with an IC card that outputs a log-in password in response to external access and outputs an individual password on condition that personal authentication information is input, and executing a process executable on condition that authentication using the log-in password is successful and a process executable on condition that authentication using the individual password is successful, a log-in password acquisition part 13 for acquiring the log-in password from the IC card in response to communication with the IC card, an authentication part 11 for authenticating with a log-in password, a personal authentication information reception part 21 for receiving the personal authentication information, a personal authentication part 23 for sending the personal authentication information to the IC card to acquire the individual password, and an individual authentication part 25 for authenticating with an individual password if the individual password is acquired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
