PURPOSE: A transmission power control apparatus and method thereof in a wireless communication system are provided to control the power of an uplink in consideration with interference. CONSTITUTION: A receiving unit(601) receives information about interference from a neighboring base station. A calculation unit(603) calculates transmission power using interference information. Interference information shows path loss value which is received from the terminal. The calculation unit includes a judgment unit(605).
