The invention relates to a method for regenerating a particulate filter in the exhaust gas line of an internal combustion engine, wherein the regeneration is performed by increasing the exhaust gas temperature, which is done by increasing a torque delivered or taken up by an auxiliary machine. According to the invention, a regeneration method is provided for a diesel particulate filter without a burner for an internal combustion engine, wherein said method may be used with a work machine in particular. The regeneration method is characterized in that a hydraulic machine is used as the auxiliary machine, and there is direct or indirect control of the auxiliary machine by a central electronic controller of the internal combustion engine. |
