PURPOSE: A system and method for manufacturing an electric double layer capacitor are provided to cut each grid array after metal is plated on all grid arrays, thereby increasing production. CONSTITUTION: A first electrode mounting unit(130) mounts a first electrode in an opening unit of a substrate with grid arrays and forms an electrolytic layer on the first electrode. A second electrode mounting unit mounts a second electrode at a location corresponding to an opening in a lid which covers all the grid arrays. A bonding unit(170) bonds the lid with the substrate to closely attach the second electrode to the electrolytic layer. A cutting unit(190) cuts an object in which the lid and the substrate are bonded by a grid array unit. A substrate forming unit forms a plurality of grid arrays on the substrate. An opening is formed on the center of the grid arrays.
