PURPOSE: An inverter is provided to rapidly determine a phase loss, thereby preventing a burning damage of a circuit element. CONSTITUTION: An inverter for a three phase power source is comprised of an AC/DC transformation unit(210), an energy storage unit(220), a DC/AC transformation unit(230), a control unit(240), and a phase loss determination circuit(250). The AC/DC transformation unit transforms the three phase power source into a DC power source. An output voltage of the DC/AC transformation unit is controlled by the control unit depending on a state of a load. A division part includes a voltage division structure comprised of two resistor units for each phase.
