A multi-purpose trivet comprising a base and at least one insulating pad removably coupled to the base. The base comprises a support surface and optionally a peripheral wall, wherein the peripheral wall elevates the base to define an air space. The at least one insulating pad is removably coupled to the base and is adapted to be separately used for gripping and handling hot objects having a temperature of up to 580° F. when removed from the rigid base. |
