PURPOSE: A method and device for supporting a data service of a service quality in a portable terminal using two different operation system are provided to enable a image call and a VoIP service through a QoS service based on EVDO. CONSTITUTION: An application chip(130) transmits a quality of service parameter setting value to a modem chip(100) through a quality of service control channel. The application chip controls a QoS activation/inactivation and remote socket open and close. The application chip receives a QoS and a network event form the modem chip. The modem chip controls the QoS setting value by receiving the QoS setting value which is received through the QoS control channel from the application chip. The modem chip transmits the QoS and a network event to the application chip through the QoS control channel.
