PURPOSE: A method and device for restricting idling is provided to prevent negative side effect when idling prevention technology is applied to an actual vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A method and device for restricting idling is as follows. An engine is paused, when an abnormal flag is less than a fixed value, and it is idling situation(S130). If the idle situation is completed(S150), the starting motor tries to drive(S160). The idle situation generation is monitored, if engine re-starting is success(S170). If the abnormal flag is over a fixed value, it is informed to a user(S190). |
