PURPOSE: A compound is provided to ensure excellent heat resistance and thin film stability, to improve lifetime and driving stability of an organic electroluminescent device, and to improve luminous efficiency and color purity. CONSTITUTION: A compound is one selected from the compounds of chemical formulas 1a-1c. An organic electroluminescent device comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and one or more organic layers including the compound between the two electrodes. The organic layer is a hole injection layer, a hole transport layer, an electroluminescent layer, an electron transport layer, an electron injection layer or laminate thereof. The compound is used as a luminous host material or dopant material.
