RECOGNITION METHOD FOR FLAT GEOMETRIC FIGURES

A flat geometric figure recognition method consists in transforming the image into sequence of signals, a figure image to a cellular automaton is projected, an image edge is separated and a unit impulse in a cellular automaton output is formed. All image edges are skipped by a drive signal and the corresponding sequence is formed. The time sequence is converted into number sequence to be compared with a sequence of numbers to be stored in the memory as references. If coincidences are occurred with reference asequence the figure is recognized.
