PURPOSE: A device and method for transmitting control information in a wireless communication system are provided to supply a channel format and a signal processing method for efficiently transmitting control information, thereby efficiently allocating resources for transmitting control information. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of control information is joint-coded to obtain a single codeword. A first modulation symbol row is obtained from the single codeword. Second modulation symbol rows correspond to SC-FDMA symbols by a slot. The second modulation symbol rows are spread. The spread second modulation symbol row is transmitted through a corresponding SC-FDMA symbol in a PUCCH.
