A process for the preparation of soda, gypsum, hydrochloric acid is carried out by the treatment of ammonium nitrate with sodium chloride to prepare ammonium chloride and sodium nitrate with the treatment of the latter with ammonium bicarbonate (ammonia and carbon dioxide), preparation of sodium bicarbonate and ammonium nitrate.
