Various ways are disclosed for setting up communication between two or more entities which do not have any prior knowledge of each other by means of scanning machine readable codes. The communication may involve scanning by a first communication device of a first machine readable code, sending a first message including the first machine readable code to a server, and storing the same on the server. The communication may further involve the step of scanning by a second communication device of a second machine readable code from a physical object, receiving a message comprising the second machine readable code and determining if said second machine readable code matches with any of the stored first machine readable codes and if so storing an association between the communication devices on the basis of said machine readable codes. |
