PURPOSE: A device and method for transmitting control information in a wireless communication system are provided to efficiently transmit control information and effectively distribute resources for transmitting control information. CONSTITUTION: A control information block corresponding to one SC-FDMA(Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbol is spread correspondingly to a plurality of first SC-FDMA symbols. The spread control information block is pre-coded by an SC-FDMA symbol unit. The DFT-pre-coded control information block is transmitted through the first SC-FDMA symbols in a sub frame. A reference signal sequence is transmitted through second SC-FDMA symbols in the sub frame. The first SC-FDMA symbols and the second SC-FDMA symbols are transmitted through a multiple antenna.
