METHOD FOR OPERATION OF COPPER FLASH SMELTING FURNACE

PURPOSE: An operation method of a copper flash smelting furnace is provided to reduce manufacturing costs because the supply of cokes materials is not required. CONSTITUTION: An operation method of a copper flash smelting furnace is as follows. Oxygen-rich air, solvents, and copper concentrate are supplied to the inside a reacting tower(10) of a copper flash smelting furnace. Pig iron is supplied to slag of a settler(20) of the copper flash smelting furnace as a reductant. The weight ratio of sulfur and copper of copper concentrate is 0.9~1.13. The particle diameter of the pig iron is 0.3~8mm. The oxygen concentration of the oxygen-rich air is 60~90 vol.%.
