PURPOSE: A shock absorber is provided to have a structure enabling to control damping force exactly and to detect changes in the height of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A shock absorber(100) comprises: a cylinder case(115) filled with oil and connected to one side of a target device of installation; a piston member(120) including a piston(122) moving across the oil in the cylinder case and a piston rod(121) extended from the piston and connected to the other side of the target device of installation; a first oil pipe(130) connected to one side of the cylinder case to move the oil in the cylinder case; a second oil pipe(131) connected to the other side of the cylinder case to move the oil in the cylinder case; and an oil housing case housing the oil moved through one of the first oil pipe and the second oil pipe in the cylinder case.
