The tool has two wheels (2) arranged at a base body (1) and coupled with each other by a circulating belt (3). The belt reflects transmission signal (S) that is transmitted by a transmitter (6), and an evaluation device (8) evaluates a reflected signal (S') that is supplied to a receiver (7). The transmitter and the receiver are arranged at the base body. The evaluation device determines frequency spectrum based on the reflected signal and oscillation frequency, where frequencies of the belt are oscillated by the frequency spectrum when speed of the belt exceeds a preset speed range.
