PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin that exhibits excellent grip performance both in a low-temperature range and in a high-temperature range when used as a rubber composition for tire, a rubber composition and a high-performance tire obtained by using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The resin is obtained by copolymerizing a monomer (I) represented by formula (I) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is hydrogen atom, 1-8C alkyl, 6-8C aryl, 2-8C alkenyl or halogen group) with a monomer (II) represented by formula (II) (wherein R<SP>2</SP>is hydrogen atom, 1-8C alkyl, 6-8C aryl, 2-8C alkenyl or halogen group).
