PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constituent member of fishing reel that is felt to have an excellent balance in a real use while achieving a shape to improve operability and a shape to provide a fitting feeling in gripping. SOLUTION: The constituent member 1A of fishing reel, which has a flat shaped cross section and extends in a longitudinal direction, holds a relation of EI2/EI1≠Imin/Imax on at least a part in which Imin/Imax is minimum when a cross-sectional secondary moment regarding a strong axis of a cross section cut in an approximately vertical direction in relation to the longitudinal direction is Imax, a flexural rigidity in the same direction as Imax is EI1, a cross-sectional secondary moment regarding a weak axis of the cross section is Imin and a flexural rigidity in the same direction as Imin is EI2. In the cross section, the constituent member is obtained by laminating a plurality of mutually different layers 10, 12 and 14 and the number of laminations in the direction of the strong axis m is mutually different from that of laminations in the direction of the weak axis n.
