The invention relates to a device for increasing the flow energy in a duct, comprising in the channel thereof compliant surfaces, such as rubber or plate-type surfaces capable of angular displacement, e.g. in a hinged installation, with devices for applying a force action on said surfaces and made in the form of chambers separated from the flow by said surfaces. A pressure of the medium in the chambers may be generated by feeding said medium from the duct flow through openings oriented against the flow. The increased pressure level in the chambers results in an increased pressure level in the flow itself.
