<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that prevents brightness degradation of backlight while reducing the thickness of the device and the width of a frame. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal display panel and the backlight emitting illumination light to the rear side of the liquid crystal display panel, the backlight has a light-emitting diode LED that is adhered to the surface of a flexible print circuit FPC, and light guide plate that guides light emitted from the light-emitting diode, and in the flexible print circuit, openings (1, 2) are formed at a space between the light-emitting diode and the light guide plate, the shape of the openings is configured so that part of the openings overlaps the end face of a light emitting area (EA) side of the light-emitting diode, and a reflecting member 3 is arranged at locations of the openings at a rear side of the flexible print circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
