<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell capable of keeping conversion efficiency while improving photosensitivity to a short wavelength, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The solar cell includes a first-conductivity silicon substrate 2, a first electrode 7, a second-conductivity diffusion layer 3, and a second electrode 6. The first electrode 7 is formed on a rear surface of the silicon substrate 2 opposite to a light receiving surface. The second-conductivity diffusion layer 3 contains an impurity with second conductivity which is opposite to the first conductivity, and at least a part thereof is formed near a main surface of the silicon substrate 2 which is the light receiving surface. The second electrode 6 is connected to the second-conductivity diffusion layer 3. A surface of the silicon substrate 2 formed with the second-conductivity diffusion layer 3 has unevenness, and the unevenness is formed so that projections 17 are continued when seen in two dimensions. In the second-conductivity diffusion layer 3, the projection 17 of the unevenness has a higher concentration of second-conductivity impurity compared to that of a recess 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
