PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent and a method for selectively adsorbing and removing modified low density lipoprotein and/or advanced glycation end products in body fluid, and to provide an adsorption device containing the adsorbent and purifying the body fluid. SOLUTION: An adsorbing agent and the adsorbent for removing the modified low density lipoprotein and/or the advanced glycation end products contains as effective components, at least one of polyamines selected from the group consisting of putrescine, spermidine, spermine, and cadaverine, or at least one of aliphatic basic amino acids selected from the group consisting of L-arginine, L-lysine, and L-ornithine.
