PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which determines a degree of an influence of stroboscopic light with higher accuracy to perform optimal white balance adjustment according to the degree of the influence. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: a flash part which emits a flash to an object; an imaging part which picks up an object image to generate image information; a recording part which records the image information; a display part which displays an image based on the image information; an imaging control part which controls the generation of image information for the recording and generation of image information for display by the imaging part; an operation part which calculates a white balance control value based on the image information for recording generated when the flash is emitted; and an adjustment part which adjusts the image information for recording based on the white balance control value.
