PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a piezoelectric oscillator, and a piezoelectric oscillator. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric oscillator 10 for outputting an oscillation signal 50 and frequency temperature characteristic information 54 to a temperature compensation circuit 32 which can calculate a temperature compensation amount 56 by using the frequency temperature characteristic information 54 showing a temperature characteristic of an oscillation frequency of a piezoelectric vibrator 12 and information (detection voltage 52) corresponding to the temperature of the piezoelectric vibrator 12, the frequency temperature characteristic information 54 is generated on the basis of discrete frequency temperature characteristic information showing a relation between the temperature and the oscillation frequency of the piezoelectric vibrator 12 discretely, and when first frequency temperature information having a frequency component outside an allowable range being included, is generated on the basis of information obtained by adding third frequency temperature information to second frequency temperature information by calculating approximated curve information on the basis of the second frequency temperature information having a frequency component within the allowable range in the discrete frequency temperature characteristic information, and extracting the third frequency temperature information being the same temperature as the first frequency temperature information from the approximated curve information.
