Provided is an exterior article installation structure such that exterior articles can be easily installed while the upward movement of the exterior articles is restricted. The exterior article installation structure (1) is provided with a plurality of solar panels (3) which are exterior articles, a lower runner (2) which is fixed to a wall surface (W) and holds the plurality of solar panels (3) at the lower ends thereof, and an upper runner (2) which is fixed to the wall surface (W) and holds the plurality of solar panels (3) at the upper ends thereof. Said exterior article installation structure (1) is characterized in that the upper runner (2) comprises a fixed section (21) which is fixed to the wall surface (W); a rotatable section (22) the base end of which is installed on the fixed section (21) in such a way as to be vertically rotatable; and an upper engaging section (23) which is provided on the tip side of the rotatable section (22), and which engages with the solar panels (3) if the rotatable section (22) is rotated downward, and disengages from the solar panels (3) if the rotatable section (22) is rotated upward.
