<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent transmission of excessive optical signals due to an inrush current. <P>SOLUTION: An optical module includes: an oscillating member 38 which is fixed to a case 10 so as to move to draw an arc between a first position P<SB>1</SB>and a second position P<SB>2</SB>around a rotation axis 32; and a driven member 44 which moves so as to have a portion of coming in and out of the case 10 in conjunction with sliding of a slider 24. When the oscillating member 38 is at the first position P<SB>1</SB>, a part of the driven member 44 projects from the case 10 to prevent the case 10 from inserting into a cage 48, and a cover part 42 allows insertion of an optical fiber 56 at a position avoiding the insertion hole of the optical fiber 56. When the oscillating member 38 is at the second position P<SB>2</SB>, a part of the driven member 44 escapes from outside of the case 10 to allow the case 10 to be inserted into the cage 48, and the cover part 42 prevents insertion of the optical fiber 56 at a position covering the insertion hole of the optical fiber 56. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
