PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which can more accurately measure a luminance of a subject that is an bject of photographing, when a center-focused photometry system is used, photoraphing the subject by using camera functions, and allows setting an appropriate exposure amount. SOLUTION: When the center-focused photometry system is applied at photographing a subject, in a person photographic mode or in an object photographic mode, the terminal analyzes the distribution of colors of respective pixels contained in a photometry area of the center focused photometry system (a step S404). If the number of pixels with a special color specified beforehand is larger than a predetermined threshold (Yes in step S405), the direction of gravity is confirmed by an acceleration sensor (step S406); the photometry area is moved to the gravity direction (step S407); and performs photometry by using the photometry area, after the movement. In this case, it is possible to use the color of the sky or the color of darkness as a specified color (step S405).
