PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-side trimmer capable of easily discharging chips remained on a base plate without requiring excessive labor such as component exchange when using a cutting plate with a width smaller than the base plate. SOLUTION: Edges and top-bottom side surfaces of a plurality of booklets that are carried on the cutting plate 2 mounted on the base plate 1 are properly arranged by a jogging mechanism for the edges and the top-bottom side surfaces, and thereafter an edge cutter and top-bottom cutters are lowered so that the edge and the top-bottom side surfaces of each booklet are cut at predetermined positions. When the cutting plate 2 with a width smaller than the base plate 1 is used, air is supplied to air piping 13 since a control part 15 opens a valve 14 for one second after the time when the top-bottom cutters reach a lower dead center. Accordingly, air is released from the grooves 9, 10 of the cutting plate 2 so that the chips remained on the base plate 1 are discharged from the base plate 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
