LOW VOLTAGE CONTROL SYSTEMS AND ASSOCIATED METHODS

A low voltage control system includes a controller having at least one DC power bus and a plurality of control line outputs. Each of a plurality of DC lighting loads includes at least one DC lighting element, an associated modulation circuit, and an associated PLD or ASIC connected to one of the control lines and operable to control the associated modulation circuit. Each modulation circuit modulates a voltage received from DC power bus. At least one first input device includes at least one of a programmable digital timer, a chromatic light sensor, a light intensity sensor, or an occupancy sensor. The controller selectively controls the associated modulation circuits of the DC lighting loads in response to sensor data received from the at least one first input device or commands received from at least one wired or wireless switch in communication with the controller. At least one second input device includes at least one of a chromatic light sensor, a light intensity sensor, or an occupancy sensor. The second input device selectively controls the modulation circuits of the DC lighting loads independently of the controller.
