A treatment device (1) for an endoscope, wherein a sheath (2) comprises at the distal end thereof a tubular extension section (21a) which has a predetermined thickness from the inner peripheral surface of a first hole (21) toward the outside in the radial direction and which extends further toward the distal end, and wherein a passive electrode (30) is disposed so as to surround the outer periphery of the extension section (21a). The simple configuration provides satisfactory insulation properties between the passive electrode (30) and a high-frequency treatment section (50a) which is disposed within the first hole (21).
