PURPOSE: A method for sex identification of birds using a nucleic acid amplification is provided to easily identify bird sex. CONSTITUTION: A method for sex identification of birds by a nucleic acid amplification comprises: a step of isolating nucleic acid from a bird; a step of performing amplification of the nucleic acid using a primer set; and a step of determining bird sex by detecting amplified nucleic acid products. The primer pair has a forward primer of sequence number 1 and a reverse primer of sequence number 2. The primer pair further contains a forward primer of sequence number 3. The amplification is performed by PCR.
