PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial connector which has a coil for thunder countermeasure built in and can make a high frequency equipment thin in size and a high frequency equipment having the coaxial connector. SOLUTION: The coaxial connector 16 is provided with an outer conductor 18 of cylindrical shape, a center conductor 22 which extends along the axial core of the outer conductor 18 inside the outer conductor 18, and a coil 28 for thunder countermeasure which is arranged concentrically with the outer conductor 18 and is connected electrically to the center conductor 22 and the outer conductor 18. Large current flowing in the center conductor 22 by thunder flows to the outer conductor 18 through the coil 28 and to a ground electrode, thereby an internal circuit is protected from a large current.
