PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a racing toy which makes up the shortage of fun and excitement and which can be enjoyed more for a long time by a user thereof without boredom compared with a conventional racing toy. SOLUTION: The racing toy 100 includes: running bodies 1, 2 including a driving mechanism 12 for self-running, and the respective running bodies are operated to self-run to compete for speed. The racing toy includes a signal storing section 34 to store a plurality of running control signals regarding the running ability of the running body, and a selection control section 40 to randomly select a running control signal from among the running control signals stored in the signal storing section, The running body includes a running control section 16 to enhance running ability of the running body and to reduce running ability of the running body according to the running control signal selected by the selection control section.
