The invention relates to a pallet truck, system and method for substantially horizontal displacement of goods, comprising: - a displaceable frame; at least one elongate fork connected to the frame and provided with a least two parts for carrying the goods, wherein the fork is provided with a support wheel at a distance from the frame; - a lowering mechanism for moving the support wheel downward; and an extending mechanism operatively connected to the at least two parts and comprising a mechanical coupling element such that the fork can be selectively extended in longitudinal direction.
