PURPOSE: An input device is provided to reduce the number of magnetic sensors to reduce production cost. CONSTITUTION: An operation member can be controlled in two directions at least opposite to each other from a predetermined starting point location. A pair of magnets(611a,612a,611b,612b,710,810) is arranged at intervals along the movement direction of the operation member and moves according to the movement of the operation member. Magnetic sensors(620a,620b,720,820) are arranged in a direction distant from an intermediate point between the magnet. The magnetic sensor outputs a signal depending on the stimulus of the magnet which approaches according to the movement of the operation member.
