<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an output voltage with a small number of elements in light detection of a display part. <P>SOLUTION: Pixel circuits that emit light by use of internal light emitting elements in accordance with a video signal, and light receiving circuits detecting the light are arranged in a matrix on the display part 101 of a display device 200. A sensor operation setting part 201 controls selection between first and second modes. In the first mode, the plurality of light receiving circuits arranged in matrix detect light by row. In the second mode, the light receiving circuits detect light in units of a plurality of rows. A sensor scanning circuit 202 controls light reception of the light receiving circuits in accordance with the control by the sensor operation setting part 201.
