<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the operability of a pull-out member, while preventing the pull-out member or a cartridge held by the pull-out member from coming into contact with, interfering with or sliding against other parts and a mechanism, when the pull-out member is moved, in an image forming apparatus 100 having such a configuration that the pull-out member 60 supporting the cartridge 50 is moved between an inner position A where the pull-out member 60 is located inside an apparatus body 100A and an outer position B where the pull-out member 60 passes through the opening 101 of the apparatus body and is pulled out to the outside of the apparatus body, to attach and detach the cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: A transfer unit 5 coming into contact with the cartridge 50 is moved to a contact position E where the transfer unit 5 comes into contact with the cartridge and a separation position F where the transfer unit 5 is separated from the cartridge, in conjunction with the opening and closing operation of an opening and closing member 15 opening and closing the opening 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
