<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition that has sufficiently low kinetic viscosity at 40°C, kinetic viscosity at 100°C, and HTHS viscosity at 100°C while maintaining HTHS viscosity at 150°C, sufficiently suppresses increase of a friction coefficient in a boundary lubrication region, and is excellent in fuel consumption saving. <P>SOLUTION: The lubricant composition includes a lubricant base oil having kinetic viscosity at 100°C of 1-20 mm<SP>2</SP>/s, (A) a friction modifier, (B) a first overbased metal salt obtained by performing overbasing of an oil-soluble metal salt with an alkaline earth metal borate, and (C) a second oil-soluble metal salt obtained by performing overbasing of an oil-soluble metal salt with an alkaline earth metal carbonate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
