<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus which improves the efficiency of AEC photographing and the picture quality of images which are collected by AEC photographing, and to provide a controlling method for the X-ray diagnostic apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A camera 31 for front surface is fitted on an X-ray tube 11, an X-ray detector 13 or a supporting mechanism. The camera 31 for front surfaces forms the data of front surface camera images regarding the front surface of a subject. A contour extracting section 41 extracts the contour of the subject from the front surface camera images. An exposure timer controlling section 45 decides whether the time integral value of a signal corresponding to the inside of the contour from among signals from the X-ray detector 13 has reached a pre-set threshold value or not. The X-ray controlling section 53 makes the X-ray tube 11 generate X ray when the determination is made that the time integral value has not reached the threshold value, and makes the X-ray tube 11 stop the generation of the X ray when the determination is made that the time integral value has reached the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
