PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a welded joint and a welding method of a sheet metal, which need no fixing jig for fixing weldments near a welding part in a through-thickness direction, and does not cause unevenness of the weldments due to a thermal deformation in welding. SOLUTION: The sheet metals 1 as the weldments are cut on one side periodically to form cut fins 2. The cut fins 2 of sheet metals 1 thus formed are alternately combined to form the welding part, and the part is heated from one side by a welding heat source 3 such as a torch for TIG welding.
