PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method and a joining apparatus by high-frequency induction heating capable of guiding the magnetic flux to a joining part in a concentrated manner even when joining cylindrical workpieces with each other, and preventing problems such as irregular melting of a joining material, abnormal fillet formation, and dispersion of the joining strength. SOLUTION: After a magnetic material fixing tool 3 consisting of a magnetic material is inserted in each hollow part of a pair of workpieces W, a joining material S between the workpieces W is heated by the high-frequency induction heating from a high-frequency induction coil 10 arranged around the workpieces W.
