摘要 Disclosed is a low-insertion-force connector, wherein two connectors can be intermeshed and detached easily and with reliance in a narrow working space, and connection/disconnection of a safety circuit can be conducted without fail, and in a space saving manner. The low-insertion-force connector (53) is comprised of a first connector (1) that houses a first terminal and a second connector (27) that houses a second terminal. The first connector is provided with: a driving lever (6) that has a gear section (13) arranged in circular arc form, and that is arranged and has the shaft thereof supported in a pivotable state along a wall section (17) of the first connector; and a gear member (4) that has a gear wheel section (11) that intermeshes with the gear section, and a spiraling groove (10) that engages with driven protrusions (37) of the second connector. The driving lever (6) was made to prevent, by providing a safety circuit unit (8) on the first connector in a slidable state, and providing a small connector (38) on the second connector, for example, the safety circuit unit from moving in the connecting direction when the driving lever (6) is in a position whereby the connectors are temporarily intermeshed, and allows the safety circuit unit to move, and prevents the pivoting thereof with a flange section (31) when the driving lever (6) is in a position whereby the connectors are intermeshed.
