Polypropylene is stabilized by the use of 0,0001%-5% by weight based on the composition of 2, 6-bis(2-hydroxy-3-t-butyl-5-methylbenzyl)-p-cresol (also named "trisphenol"). The polypropylene may also contain conventional additives such as fillers, dyes, pigments and waxes. In examples an accelerated ageing test conducted in an oxygen atmosphere on stabilized polypropylene film is described. |
