<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing device performing a stable operation by suppressing the generation of spark discharge caused by adhesion of droplet to electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: This deodorizing device includes: a blower fan 22 in a ventilation path 12; an electrode section 16 generating ozone and ultraviolet ray by a high-voltage discharge; photocatalyst modules 18 decomposing objects contained in air by photocatalytic operation; a control section 28 controlling the blower fan 22 and the electrode section 16; and an abnormality detection section 49 detecting the generation of spark in the electrode section 16. After actuating the blower fan 22 for a prescribed time in the stop state of the electrode section 16, the control section 28 performs a starting control for generating the high-voltage discharge by the electrode section 16, when the abnormality detection section 49 detects the generation of spark, stops the electrode section 16 and, after actuating the blower fan 22 just for a time longer than the time for actuating the blower fan 22 in the previous starting control, performs a starting control for generating the high-voltage discharge by the electrode section 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
