<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present, with a high level of precision, a lesion area of an examined subject within the medical images. <P>SOLUTION: An affine transformation unit 1e generates an inverted image Rmask<SB>RICA</SB>(i, j) obtained by applying a left/right inversion to a mask image mask<SB>RICA</SB>(i, j) of the right internal carotid artery and an inverted image RDSA<SB>RICA</SB>(i, j) a capillary vessel phase image DSA<SB>RICA</SB>(i, j) of the right internal carotid artery. A displacement detecting unit 1f detects a displacement between a mask image mask<SB>LICA</SB>(i, j) and the inverted image Rmask<SB>RICA</SB>(i, j) of the left internal carotid artery. A displacement correction unit 1g generates a corrected inverted image RDSA<SB>RICA</SB>(i-Δi<SB>0</SB>, j-Δj<SB>0</SB>) obtained by correcting the inverted image RDSA<SB>RICA</SB>(i, j) based on the detected displacement (Δi<SB>0</SB>, Δj<SB>0</SB>).
