<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein communication equipment on a redundant path needs to stand by for path switching in a communication network including a redundant communication path and hence power of the communication equipment is consumed even though the power is not used for actual communication. <P>SOLUTION: A trouble in the communication equipment or communication lines on a nonredundant path is detected by monitoring a link state of a line, a communication state of a confirmation packet, or a state of a protocol control packet, and power supply is interrupted partially or entirely to communication equipment on the redundant path according to a trouble state, thus securing the communication path and suppressing power consumption. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
